Four generations of the Merrill family worked as stonemasons in Shelburne Falls, designing and building numerous structures in Franklin County, including the foundation of Arms Academy, the fire tower on Mt. Massamet, and the current Keystone Market building. This presentation is based on over 2,000 Merrill family letters and other research.
