Sunderland 300th Anniversary
The Sunderland Tricentennial Art Exhibit will showcase beautiful artwork created by thirty local artists in many different mediums. Many of the pieces will be for sale.
The exhibit can be seen at the First Congregational Church Chapel at 91 Main St. It will be open Friday - Monday from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm. An opening reception will be held Saturday October 6, from 5:00 pm -7:00 pm.
October 6 - 8
The Swampfield Historical Society will be open! Come join us throughout the weekend to check out wonderful artifacts from Sunderland’s past.
Doors will be open at the Graves Memorial Building at 109 N. Main St on Saturday October 6, from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm and Sunday October 7, and Monday October 8, from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm.
October 6
10:00 am – 2:00 pm: Come see the Sunderland 300th Anniversary Antique and Classic Car and Tractor show right on South Main Street! There is a $5 suggested donation to enter a vehicle in the show and entrance for spectators is free! If needed, the rain date will be October 13th.
10:00 am – 3:00 pm: For one day only there will be a quilt show to accompany the Tricentennial Art Show at the First Congregational Church. Join us to see beautiful displays from local quilters!
12:30 pm – 3:00 pm: The Sunderland Ghost Tour will begin as a procession of a horse drawn carriage traveling down Main Street to the town cemetery. There, the resident ghosts will each tell their own history from their time in the town while standing at the tombstone of their likeness. Learn about the history of our town from its past residents! If needed, the rain date will be October 13th.
