Petit Concert Series
Presented by Stage on Main, and sponsored by the Orange Revitalization Partnership and the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the program is scheduled as follows:
Mar. 23 - Local jazz combo Legacy will entertain. Drummer Marty Picard leads the band while song stylist Linda Piragas sings, backed also by Mark Erwin on electric guitar and Terry Parker on upright bass. They will perform jazz standards.
Apr. 6 - The Millers River Band will perform its original, traditional and popular American roots music. Established locally in 1991, the band includes, singers all: Terry Reed on bass and harmonica, Ann Reed on drums, Gino LoRicco on banjo, and Tom Jordan on guitar. For this occasion, they will be joined on vocals by special musical guest Vivian Eliza Nichols. Nichols, nee Reed, absorbed the Millers River Band’s harmony-imbued repertoire in early childhood at home, where the band regularly rehearsed in its formative heyday. She is the daughter of the band’s rhythm section, and enjoys a professional career in theater.
Apr. 13 - Singer-songwriter Richard Chase has earned the respect of audiences throughout the North Quabbin region and beyond with his superbly crafted songs and tasteful musicianship. A talented multi-instrumentalist, Chase has appeared on many stages in a variety of genres that include symphonic, orchestral, jazz, pop, original, rock, choral, contra, theatre, as well as solo work.
The programming to include the live entertainment and opportunity to socialize, with refreshments on hand, is free although donations are always appreciated.
