IN THEIR FOOTSTEPS: THE CCC LEGACY, Sundays 1:00—3:00 p.m. The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) built Mohawk Trail State Forest in the 1930s. Who were these "soil soldiers"? What were their lives like? This easy, under-a-mile guided walk provides a glimpse into the park’s origins. Discover both the lasting structures and the hidden footprints these “Pine Cone Johnnies” left on the landscape Ages 8 to adult. Free to the public. Program starts from Interpretive Nature Center just past park entrance.
