Farms and Backroads of Franklin County Bike Tour
Join us as we explore Franklin County's beautiful backroads to find charming hidden towns, outstanding local farms and well preserved history. It's a guided 27 mile ride along the Connecticut River Valley, stopping to visit farms that cultivate a variety of produce from the region's renowned glacial soil. We'll visit a cafe hideaway overlooking a waterfall and picnic at Historic Deerfield, a National Historic Landmark, with a final stop to quench our thirst at a local craft brewery.
Ride level: Easy to Intermediate
27 miles, flat along river valley
Tour includes:
- full picnic lunch and stops to sample local food and beverages
- visit with goats at a local dairy farm
- discover the legendary Book Mill and cafe tucked away near a waterfall
- picnic on the lovely grounds of Historic Deerfield
