Our new exhibits include:
Children of Greenfield, featuring items from children living in this area from the past 1000 years, from arrowheads to roller-skates, high chairs to high school photos.
Portraits of Notable Women, featuring paintings of Mary Wells and Eliza Leonard and others.
Dinosaurs in Downtown, featuring Dexter Marsh, fossils, and casts of dinosaur tracks, and connecting to the Great Greenfield Dino Fest in October.
WWI, Away and At Home, featuring uniforms, photos, and other artifacts telling the story of Greenfield's involvement in the first world war, as well as the 1918 flu in Franklin Co.
Tapping into History, featuring Greenfield Tap & Die, Lunt Silversmiths, and D. B. Kellogg's Grocery Store, and examining the lives of employers and employees in the early 20th century. This major exhibit is supported in part by a grant from Mass Humanities, which allowed us to inventory the artifacts we hold from these three local businesses, and uncover the connections between them. Thank you Mass Humanities!
