Reading of 19th century letters from the Hassell Family of Maine and Conway. Written between 1850 and 1903, the letters detail daily life on a farm in Maine while touching upon how rapid changes in the country, brought about by industrialization and expansionism, shaped the ensuing generations. Jennifer Hassell Coliskey, great-granddaughter of Benjamin and Sarah Parker Hassell, has complied a selection of her family's letters which will be read by members of the community.
