Auditions - Silverthorne Theater fall shows
Silverthorne Theater Company will hold auditions for its two fall season productions. The first will be Lauren Gunderson’s The Revolutionists, in which four women in the heady days of the French Revolution join together in a blaze of impassioned hope for a future that truly includes them. Performance dates are September 19-28. At the same time, STC will audition for the classic, The Diary of Anne Frank, by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hatchett. The story of the young girl who wrote in her diary of her fears, longings, joys, and everyday squabbles bears witness to her fate and that of her family forced into hiding in Nazi-controlled Europe and resonates with today’s stories of the hunted, the Other. Production dates are October 17-26. Open auditions for the productions will be held Friday, April 26, from 7-9 pm, and Saturday, April 27, from 1-4 pm, in the Pushkin Gallery of the Hawks and Reed Performing Arts Center, 4 Federal Street, Greenfield. There are four roles for women in The Revolutionists; all types and ethnicities are welcome. The Diary of Anne Frank has roles for ten actors of various ages. Full details of the available roles are posted at https://silverthornetheater.org/get-involved-2/. Auditions are by appointment only; contact silverthornetheater@gmail.com or call 413-768-7514 to reserve a slot. Auditions are open to Equity and non-Equity performers; all roles are paid.
