DESCRIPTION:Samirah Evans will present more of her funkier arrangements with songs that lean towards an R&B feel for this show with the Joe Belmont Experience.\n\nThe Joe Belmont Experience is comprised of accomplished veterans of the Northeast music scene Joe Belmont (guitars)\, Rudi Weeks (bass) and Eliezar Martinez (drums). They play a compelling yet cohesive blend of divergent elements of jazz\, original compositions\, funk\, classic songs\, Chicago blues\, and jamming.\n\nSince relocating from New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina\, Samirah Evans has been delighting audiences across the northeastern U.S.\, performing or sharing stages with the likes of Charles Neville\, Sheila Jordan\, Allman Brothers drummer\, Jamoie\, Pancho Sanchez.\, Duke Robillard\, Dr. John\, Wallace Roney\, John Sheldon\, and Avery Sharp. Evans is a member of the visiting artist faculty at Williams College and a private vocal instructor\, as well as the founder of the NOLABratts choir.
