They began in 2005 as a Fela Kuti tribute project and now produce original work aiming to inspire greater human awareness through conscious funky fusion jazz with progressive topical lyrics. Voted "Best of the Valley" five times\, nominated as "Live Act of the Year" by the New England Music Awards\, winners of the 2017 Valley Music Showcase\, and recognized with several honorable distinctions by the African Jazz Review\, Shokazoba performs top quality\, high energy music designed to move your feet\, inspire the mind\, and activate our souls! I-Ganic Sound System is the Pioneer Valley's reggae sound system! He began spinning records in the mid '80s\, and has developed a signature style of layering digital effects over a mix of top-shelf vinyl selections of the latest UK and Jamaican Roots\, Steppas\, Dancehall and Dub. He resides in Western Mass with roots in Puerto Rico.
