DESCRIPTION:Hawks & Reed Performing Arts Center is proud to host Northampton-based painter Anna Bayles Arthur in an art show running through August 22. Anna will have an opening reception for her work on Saturday\, July 29\, 2017\, 5 7 p.m. The reception will be held at Hawks & Reed Performing Arts Center\, 289 Main St.\, Greenfield\, MA. Admission is free. Anna Bayles Arthur has been constructing images\, works on paper: drawings\, paintings\, prints\, for almost the entirety of her life. She completed studies in academic art programs (MFA\, University of Mass.\, Amherst\; BFA\, Kutztown University\, PA)\, but she considers her work to exist somewhere on the spectrum between the classical/academic and the mystical/outsider. For the last decade\, she has lived and worked in Northampton\, MA. Her work has been in galleries throughout New England.
