DESCRIPTION:WRSI - 93.9 The River's Monte Belmonte will be leading his annual march against hunger through the Pioneer Valley during his Monte's March event. Joined by Congressman Jim McGovern and a number of supporters\, Monte will push a shopping cart 43 miles from Springfield to Greenfield over the course of two days to raise awareness about food insecurity in our region and funds for The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. Listeners are encouraged to make monetary donations.

LOCATION:Monday\, the march leaves from the MLK Community Center in Springfield (3 Rutland St) at 7am and ends at WRSI the River in Northampton (15 Hampton Ave) around 3p. Tuesday the march leaves from the corner of Pleasant Street and Hampton Ave) at 7a and ends at Hawkes & Reed in Greenfield (289 Main St).
