DESCRIPTION:The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation is celebrating 125 years of Stewardship. In 1893\, DCR's foundation began with the creation of a regional system of parks to preserve our natural resources for the public as the city of Boston continued to expand.  In October 2003\, the Great Falls Discovery Center opened its doors for the first time in a public open house. We welcome you all to the Great Hall once again\, this week to view the history of Massachusetts State Parks and to celebrate 15 years of Great Falls discoveries here at the center.
