Frank & Judy Sullivan\, of Keene\, NH\, will talk about fiber production in Colonial New England\, from the mid-18th century onward. Topics will include the steps involved in making raw wool into yarn & then cloth\; flax & hemp production\; & how the resulting cloth was made into clothing. Examples of typical fabrics will be on display\, as well as an assortment of clothing made using 18th century techniques. (Judy is a spinner\, seamstress\, & professional kilt maker\; Frank is a weaver of tartans & 1700's reproduction fabric since retiring\; and they often use their skills and research for re-enactments.) Longwool products from Cloverworks Farm (soon to be carried at Sheep & Shawl)\, and Frank's handwoven scarves and wraps will be available
