SUMMARY:Annual Christmas in July Festivites & Gill 225th Anniversary
DESCRIPTION:In honor of the town's 225th anniversary\, the Franklin County Boat Club has combined their celebration with the town's. A pig roast will be held begining at 5:30 p.m. Later in the evening the boat parade will occur\, followed by a fireworks diplay. The public is invited to attend the after-dinner entertainment to inlcude a birds of prey demonstration by Tom Ricardi\, a police K-9 demonstration\, and live music by Ask Wanda.\nReminder: No alcoholic beverages are allowed at this event.\n\nThis event is not just for Gill residents. All are welcome to attend and enjoy each others company.\n\nTickets are $15 per person and may be purchased at the Town Hall\, Wagon Wheel Restaurant\, and the Spirit Shoppe. Kids 5 and under are free with a paid adult. Cash or checks payable to "Town of Gill." Tickets must be purchased by July 21. Deadline for ticket sales has been extended to Thursday\, July 26th.\n\nEveryone is welcome to come for the free after-dinner entertainment (6:15 PM) that includes a "Birds of Prey" demonstration by Tom Ricardi\, a Police K-9 demonstration\, and music by Ask Wanda\, a local pop/rock/folk/punk band.\n\nAfter dark\, on the waters of Barton Cove\, the members of the Franklin County Boat Club will parade decorated and illuminated boats. After the parade\, the evening will be capped off by a fireworks show sponsored by the Boat Club. The Town of Gill has raised funds and contributed toward making this year's fireworks extra special.

LOCATION:Field behind the Riverside School located at 54 French King Highway in Gill. Firweworks can be viewed from the field and Riverview Drive\, which will be closed to vehicles from Oak Street to Pine Street during the event. Limited parking will be available at the school.
