Half a century later\, local Democrats are watching the January 6th commission hearings. The Greenfield Democratic Town Committee (GDTC) is sponsoring a showing of the 1976 classic film All The President's Men at the Greenfield Garden Cinema. Playing at 7pm on August 8th\,the screening will mark the 48th anniversary of the resignation of President Richard Nixon.\n\n\n\nThe Warner Brother film starring Dustin Hoffman and Robert Redford\, chronicles the two-year efforts of Washington Post reporters Carl Bernstein and Robert Woodward in uncovering the truth about the Watergate break-in and other efforts by the Nixon administration to undermine the election of 1972. Nominated for eight Academy Awards\, the film won four Oscars for Best\n\nSupporting Actor (Jason Robards as Washington Post Editor Ben Bradlee)\, Best Adapted Screenplay\, Best Art Direction\, and Best Sound. The American Film Institute ranked the movie in its top 100 films with Woodward and Bernstein making #27 on their movie heroes list.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAdmission is $10 for adults\, $8.50 for students\, veterans and seniors. Free tickets are available from the GDTC for those who can not afford to pay for a ticket.
