SUMMARY:1st Annual Greenfield Psych Fest
DESCRIPTION:Two floors of crazy music! Here are the acts:\n\nMoney Chicha are a five-piece psychedelic chicha/cumbia offshoot of Grupo Fantasma and Brownout/Brown Sabbath. \n\nBunnies - local psych-indie twisted-prog heroes Bunnies have a brand new release called "Transportation To Mind Transformation" and will be bringing some of those musical trips to our event for purposes of joying you. \n\nRoger Miller's TRINARY SYSTEM (Boston) Roger Miller (Mission of Burma\, Birdsongs of the Mezozoic\, Alloy Orchestra) is a Boston music and post-punk icon.\n\nRALPH WHITE - formerly of the legendary Bad Livers\, Ralph brings his multi-instrumental prowess and love of all traditions of music to Psych Fest. He plays banjo\, accordion\, guitar\, fiddle\, thumb pianos and anything else he gets his hands on. Folk\, blues\, cajun\, country\, bluegrass and punk are all part of his stew.\n\nWorld Eaters are Greenfield's very own nine-piece polyrhythmic psych-punk/cumbia/jazz band with horns. Members of Shokazoba\, Vimana and Holy Vex. Where punk\, psych & metal meet cumbia\, Afro\, Middle Eastern taqsim\, free-jazz and more. \n\nHevvi Synthia is more than just rock and roll. It is a focused attention to the nuanced textures of melodic groove. It is a romp in the wading pool of dark dream matter. It's a lightheartedly bratty backwards glance to the victories\, and perils\, of youth. With a sonic arsenal reminiscent of 70's glam gods and 90's grunge gangs\, this trio delivers fierce\, fun rock with swagger and tact. \n\nBROMP TREB - A long-running music/sound/performance project of artist Neil Cloaca Young\, Bromp Treb is the clumsy body-music/noise of eager uncertainty. Celebrating crooked rhythms and complex textures interjected with joyful spasms of dysfunction\, Bromp Treb is built on an improvised and intuited foundation of synthesis\, samples\, tapes\, voice and percussion. \n\nREBEL BASE - Molten space-metal from another world by a two-piece powerhouse. Riffs galore\, space invaders\, psychedelic heaviosity. \n\nTARP - Josh Burkett (Mystra Records\, Frozen Corn) and Conrad Capistran (Sunburned Hand of The Man) are the improv duo Tarp. \n\nDJs between bands: Rec & Krefting\, Peace & Rhythm crew (Studebaker Hawk\, Bongohead) and others TBA.
