Greenfield-based PV Squared Solar has completed a 30.24 kW solar array installation at Hillside Pizza in Bernardston. The solar array will offset approximately 40% of Hillside Pizza’s annual electricity usage from their restaurant and catering business.

“We have been able to accomplish one of our main points of our mission statement of doing our business in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way,” says Robert Lindner, one of the owners of Hillside Pizza. In addition to solar power, Hillside Pizza promotes sustainable living by composting as well as sourcing local, organic produce in their restaurants.

“Collaborating with Hillside Pizza on their solar project was a wonderful experience,” says Stacy Metzger, General Manager of PV Squared. “Their dedication to strengthening the community is evident, so supporting their sustainability initiatives and overall mission was very rewarding. We ultimately installed solar arrays on three separate roof areas to maximize production, and we’re excited for Hillside Pizza to enjoy decades of solar energy.”
PV Squared is a local leader in the field of solar design, installation, and maintenance. The worker-owned cooperative has provided renewable energy solutions to a range of clients, including business owners, commercial property owners, farmers, and homeowners since 2002.
