Greenfield, MA — Solar Power World, the leading solar publication covering technology, development, and installation, published its annual Top Solar Contractors list in July. Local solar installation company and worker-owned cooperative, PV Squared, was listed prominently among other top solar contractors and developers across the country.

“It’s always an honor to be recognized for what we do on a national scale, putting western Massachusetts solar companies on the map. While our focus remains local, the national ranking offers more insight into how we’re performing on a broader scale. It’s deeply rewarding to know that our business and installation practices are leading by example,” says PV Squared General Manager Stacy Metzger.

PV Squared is a local leader in the field of solar design, installation, and maintenance. The worker-owned cooperative has provided renewable energy solutions to a range of clients, including business owners, commercial property owners, farmers, and homeowners since 2002. They currently employ 44 people, 24 of which are co-owners of the business. In 2017, they installed 2,000 kW of solar power, and have installed 12,000 kW of solar since their founding. PV Squared is also a Certified B Corp, demonstrating their commitment to using business as a force for good. In addition, PV Squared is the only NABCEP Accredited Company in Massachusetts, and have been voted as the Best Solar Installation Company in the Pioneer Valley two years in a row.

The Top Solar Contractors list is developed by Solar Power World to recognize the work completed by solar contractors across the United States. Produced annually, the Top Solar Contractors list celebrates the achievements of U.S. solar developers, subcontractors and installers within the utility, commercial and residential markets, and ranks contractors by kilowatts installed in the previous year.
