About Us

The Greenfield Public Library Foundation is an independent nonprofit created in 2017 by the Library Board of Trustees to help fund the construction of Greenfield’s new public library. When the City received a $9.4 million state construction grant in 2018, the Foundation successfully raised the required additional $2 million locally and donated it to the City. Today, the Foundation “funds the future” by supporting major capital needs such as technology upgrades, staff training, and replacement furniture that are not covered by city, state, or federal budgets.
