Job Description
The United Arc, a leading provider of services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is seeking an individual (preferably from the Amherst area), experienced in preparing healthy, gluten-free, nutritional breakfast and lunches for a young man with autism along with supporting him to perform his activities of daily living (showering/dressing/house-hold chores) each morning 6:30-9:00.  The number of days can be flexible but preferably Monday to Friday.  The position is part time with approximately 10-13 hours weekly.  Hourly rate of pay is $14.00. 
Minimum Qualifications
 
The Ideal Candidate:
·         Must have an acceptable CORI, driving record, and fingerprint check.
·         Have a current driver’s license and have access to an automobile.
·         Be a self-starter, creative, enthusiastic and an effective communicator.
·         Have some life and/or work experience with people with autism.
·         Be responsible, reliable and patient. 
·         This candidate is part of a dynamic team of support and will work closely with the Team Leader to develop and maintain a food-shopping list.
