Job Description

 The United Arc, headquartered in Turners Falls, MA,     provides services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Franklin, Hampshire and Hampden counties and the North Quabbin region of Massachusetts is seeking a dynamic and team-oriented individual who is highly organized, motivated, and social     justice-minded and devoted to promoting and protecting the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Human Rights Coordinator is responsible for the oversight and coordination of The United Arc’s Volunteer Human Rights Committee and Human Rights Advocates, annual Human Rights trainings, and ensuring that The United Arc is on schedule with its human rights calendar and Department of Developmental Services      requirements. This is a part time paid position that requires periodic early evening        availability. 
 
Minimum Qualifications:
 
Experience with individuals with disabilities. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Suite. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Acceptable driving record, valid driver’s license and access to an automobile.
