Job Description
 The United Arc, a leading provider of services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Franklin, Hampshire and Hampden counties and the North Quabbin region of Massachusetts is seeking a dynamic, team-oriented individual to oversee all aspects of resource development, marketing and promotion of the organization to increase community awareness and support for our mission.  Plans and oversees events and other fund raising and marketing initiatives, maintains associated databases and systems for tracking and stewardship of donors and other stakeholders while maintaining a leadership role within the organization. This position requires a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. 
 
 
Minimum Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor's degree, Masters preferred.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in grant writing, event planning and coordination or other relevant resource development experience in a nonprofit environment.
  • Demonstrated computer skills and knowledge of their use in web-based, media and print applications.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated relationship/interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Acceptable driving record, valid driver’s license and access to an automobile.
  • Acceptable CORI and Fingerprint check required.
