SUMMARY:The Radical Inter-Connectedness Fest
DESCRIPTION:The Radical Interconnectedness Festival offers the opportunity for artists to address the concerns of marginalized communities through a wide variety of experiential forms: theater\, music\, installation\, dance\, poetry\, etc all presented within walking distance in alternative venues\, storefronts\, & Shea Theatre. \n\nWe invited stories that engage issues of race\, age\, gender\, religion\, economic class\, & aspects of cultural identity that have been suppressed.\n\nIt takes place on April 26 and 27\, 2019 in a variety of spaces including the Shea Theatre. A $20 ticket gets you into all events all weekend long. More info and tickets soon. Followed by a conversation with the artists and humanist scholars (who place the conversation into context) on April 28\, 2019. More on that soon\, too. The conversation has received a grant from mass humanities!\n\nThe art:\n\n Ezekiel Baskin and Samuel Achilles- Queer Intimacies (working title)\, theater\n Rhonda Anderson - Portraits of Native Peoples of the Valley\, photography\n Julia Whalen - Childhood Experience\, installation\n Katherine Adler - "Artifacts of the Ephemeral" and will have two components. First\, physical objects with corresponding meditative writings. Second\, a durational live performance. \n Jennifer Abeles\, formerly incarcerated women of Voices from Inside\, spoken word\n Alex DeMelo\, United Arc Theater Troupe\, theater of the other abled\n Lori Holmes Clark\, Neurodiversity\, dance\n Noel'le Longhaul\, Loone\, Currently an all trans and genderqueer four-piece\, Loone grew out of several years of Noel'le Longhaul's solo work as a home recording artist. \n Joe Dulude\, Gender Identity\, experience\n Cynthia Snow\, Elders and the experience of Alzheimers\, dance\n Karen Werner\, live experimental radio documentary performance\n Terry Jenoure\, Pelala a musical\, spoken word\, and video performance\n\nand!\n\nEggtooth Productions is proud to offer a follow-up panel conversation\, workshop\, & action plan on the Sunday April 28\, 2019 from noon til 3:30 pm following the Radical Interconnectedness Festival on April 26-27\, 2019 at the Cohn Commons at Greenfield Community College in collaboration with the Diversity and Inclusion Center at GCC https://www.gcc.mass.edu/diversity/center/.
